We've had fun this week learning about the letter Aa, colors: yellow, red, and green, circles, number 1, and apples....lots and lots of apples.

A few things we learned this week that you can practice and sing with your kids are:

* The Aa song-to the tune of The Wheels on The Bus
The Aa says a......a.a.a, a.a.a, a.a.a the Aa says a....a.a.a apples, ant, and alligator.

* Number 1 rhyme
Slide down the pole, wow that's fun, that's how we make the number one.

*circle song sung to the tune HI Ho the Dairy-O
A circle is like a ball,
A circle is like a ball,
Round and round it never stops
A circle is like a ball.

Repetition and songs are great ways to learn. Please take time to go over the things we learn each week. This will help you children remember the things we've talked about.

We had so much fun with our 5 senses activities today!  It's always fun to see the differences in the kids when we do a big project like this. They used so many different skills as they colored, cut out, assembled their faces, glued, and finally finished up by drawing their bodies and hair.  They definitely earned their snack!

 This is a hearing  activity we did to determine what objects were in each egg. So fun!

 There was also a lot of guessing done today with different scents on cotton balls. There were a few priceless reactions to certain smells and few kids wanting cookies after we smelled the ball with vanilla on it. :)

Some fun moments with the 3day class. Painting rainbows after talking about things we see with our eyes and being grateful for colors. 

We also had fun tracing and coloring our bodies. 

We learned about our bodies and our 5 senses today. We made a texture craft and the kids had fun tasting different foods that were tart, sour, salty, and sweet!
We also talked about germs and keeping our hands clean. We practiced coughing into our elbows and using tissues to wipe our noses. Please help your children to remember and practice these things at home. :)

4yr 3/day class

Pics from our "no monsters at school" lesson. We read a story about a monster coming to school and behaving badly until he decided to follow the rules to help the kids learn what was appropriate behavior at school. We had fun making these cute little monster crafts afterwards. 

This is the 4yr old 3 day class. They really enjoyed this activity!

I just wanted to add a photo of the 3yr class that we took today. They did such a great job on their first activity/craft. I love how these turned out!!

First Day

We have successfully had our first day!  I am so excited for this school year! Your children are so much fun!  I was able to snap a few photos today of the 4yr old class. I am still in awe at how well behaved they are!  Thanks to all of the parents for helping to make today such a success.
