Q-tip art is always a big hit!

Jj is for Jumping!

We had such a fun week learning about the letter Jj.  We sorted, sampled, and experimented with Jelly beans.
Some of the flavors were definitely better than others.

The kids chose which jelly beans they wanted to put in the water. What do you think will happen if we get them wet?

The kids thought it was weird that all of the jellybeans ended up being white and that the bowl with multiple colors turned black.

Sorry the pictures are blurry, we have a class full of jumping beans.
J is for jumping, J is for blue jeans, J is for yummy juice, and some jellybeans.

Can you find the oval shape?
                What about the number 9?

This was the first year we've made jellyfish. It turned out being really fun! The kids used their fine motor skills to help them push the pipe cleaners through small holes in the bowl and to curl them up.  The string on top added even more fun while they helped them swim around the room.

creative butterfly snacks from one of our awesome parents!
Our 3day class sequenced the numbers 1-10 in order to make a letter Jj picture. They also learned the sight word "I" this week, but I didn't get any pictures.
And last, but not least, an amazing Dab to finish off the awesome week we had. lol!

Letter Ss

An S looks like a Snake...Sss...sss...sss.ss, an S looks like a Snake.
The kids had so much fun playing with snakes as we made the S sound this week and shaped our snake into an S.
We also, used our sizing skills to build our                              shape snowmen.

Our 3yr class had a great time finding and pointing to letter S around our room.
More Ss hunting with our letter find                                             worksheet.
The 3yr class showing me their creative                                        Smiles.

Do you want to build a Snowman?
Making snowmen out of clay, beans, and pretzels has been a preschool winter favorite!

What do We Wear in the Winter?

We had a lot of fun this week, singing and dancing, as we learned what items of clothing we should wear in the winter time.
Along with the letter W, we learned about putting things in order by size. I was very proud of how quickly the children understood this concept.

These are our Winter Wonder land pictures. We put our circles in order by size when we made our snowmen. The kids also thought it was fun trying to make snowflakes,  and getting to have glitter on top of their snow.

letter Oo

Our 3yr class finding things that start with the letter Oo.
Gluing cheerios  on the letter O was a great activity for the kids!

This is the 4yr class with their octopuses that we made using a toilet paper roll. Rolling up the ends of their legs was challenging for them, however, they all learned that they can do hard things. 😉

Our yummy snack brought by one of my 3yr kids. Such a fun idea!!
